Slipper pistons out now

The long awaited 90 mm slipper pistons are now available. The prototypes were secretly tested in world longtrack and international speedway last year and also in practise sessions in the UK last autumn. This product was instigated and designed by the late Tony Eadon in association with Wiseco. Vega Racing are proud that such a large organisation have the belief and foresight to be involved in this groundbreaking roject. I'm sure Tony will be pleased with the results. Vega could have a world champion this year. I'll keep you informed of progress.

It's my aim to bring details of all riders, sponsors, customers, etc. of Vega products onto this web site to try and give a little feed back and publicity. Please help me with this. Please send in a photo, news or gossip and I'll try to include it and publicise sponsors.Peter Johns has just installed a new dynonometer. I'm told this facility will be available to anyone ( bit like golf, pay and play ). What this means to Peter and Vega Racing is that development and testing of new products is speeded up as we don't now have to test components on the track. We will have instant data available to pass back to manufacturers. The first benefit of this is a new range of con rods. The firstprototypes are now being tested, and production of the 2003/4 range ofrods should be on the market in April.

On a different subject, good luck to the Hawk Kawasaki British Superbike Squad and sponsors. Well done Mick and John and sponsors KP Equipe, Daventry. The're in for one hell of a year, after Glen Richards outstanding performances last year. Follow it on BBC as well !

I've got 10 vegaracing.co.uk baseball caps to give away for the first to email me with an embarrassing photo or story!

Yours in sport

Trevor Eadon
